About the Group
What is the Multifamily Mentor Matchmaking group, and who is it for?
It’s a badass community built for people in the multifamily industry who want to connect, grow, and not feel like they’re networking alone in a cold, corporate abyss. Whether you’re brand new or have been around the block, this is your place to find mentors, build relationships, and get real support. We’ve got folks from property management, supplier side, investment, maintenance, and more. Basically, if you touch multifamily, you belong here.
How did the Multifamily Mentor Matchmaking group start?
Tara founded this group because she wanted mentorship but had no clue where to start. Instead of waiting around, she created what she wished existed. It started with a handful of people and grew fast…mostly through referrals, because when people find something good, they tell their friends. It’s a passion project with one goal: helping people Empower, Connect, and Thrive!

How Matching Works
How does the matching process work?
It’s a mix of intuition, initiative, and permission. When you join, the first place to go is the member directory to find someone who matches your vibe & goals. Once you’ve made your choice, email Tara with your selection and a few sentences as to why you want to be matched with that person. She will email that person to see if they are interested and available to work with you. If they give the green light, she will facilitate an email introduction including resources to make you successful and then step out of your way!
Pro Tip: Have a second or third choice ready in case the first person you choose is not available.

Can I have more than one mentor or mentee?
100%! This group wouldn’t be here if not for the 4 mentors I had in my life, so far be it from me to limit you. As long as the mentor you’re requesting has the bandwidth, we can make it happen! Learning from multiple perspectives is a power move. Just be mindful of your time and energy so you’re not stretching yourself too thin.
Can a supplier be matched with someone from the owner/manager side?
Yes! However, it’s important to be fully transparent. This mentorship group is focused on authentic mentor/mentee relationships, not sales. Suppliers who join must respect that this is not a space to pitch products or services to owners or managers. If you understand and honor that boundary, I’d be happy to explore a potential match with someone from the owner/manager side.

Just reach out to Tara. She loves when people step up to lead, and it’s a great way to get more visibility in the group. Plus, that’s the “Empower” part of the group!
